Going on a little adventure to get away from our day-to-day routine is so good for our family relationships and emotional and mental health. But its difficult to find where to stay near DFW with enough room for many friends or family. A perfect luxury rental option is only an hour away from the DFW area, with space for everyone.

Our family with several friends had the opportunity to stay in the property “Simply the Best” {hosted}. And it did live up to its name! We had the best time just enjoying being away from our routine and out with friends.
What did we love most about staying in Book Texoma Rentals? Here are a few of my favorites.
Space for Everyone
We easily fit 8 adults and 15 kids in the lake house. With 6 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms, we each had our own private space. Everyone had their own beds and bedding.
With two large living areas, we never felt crowded. The noise from the kids playing downstairs was minimal. Honestly, we were a little surprised by how quiet it was when the kids were downstairs. Ah, peace, at last, and everyone is happy!
The open concept meant that we could all be together, even if we were doing different activities. A movie, game, and food prep could all be happening at the same time.
We knew we wanted outdoor fun when considering where to stay near DFW, and Book Texoma Rentals are perfect. With all the land, trees and grass outside and the 3 levels inside, the kids were easily entertained.
At night, we didn’t hear other people and the kids slept well since we were each in our own bedroom and separate beds. The king and queen beds were some of the most comfortable I’ve ever slept on, and we’ve been to many hotel rooms!
Entertainment for Days
With 2 pool tables, ping pong, giant connect four, and corn hole, we had plenty of games to occupy everyone. We also brought board games and puzzles. With three table areas, everyone could play a small game or do one large party game.
Four TVs provided movie watching, PS3 video game playing, and relaxation. The couches are large and give plenty of seating for multiple people. We found chairs, stools, and ottomans for everyone.
Kitchen, Grill and Fire Pit for all your Favorite Foods
With options ranging from a fully-stocked kitchen, an outdoor grill and seating area and a fire pit, we enjoyed making our favorite foods in the home with our kids and friends.
We assigned each family one meal and easily fit everything we needed into the fridge spacious cupboard and panty space.
All the dishes and serving utensils we needed were easy to access in the kitchen for easy use and clean up.
Gathering around the firepit nightly was one of our favorite parts. Don’t miss looking up at the incredible night sky. You don’t see that in the big city!
Home Away from Home
I loved that this large property had a washer and dryer for any needs we had. Towels and extra bedding were abundant. Cleaning supplies for little spills were easily found.
But unlike my home, when we checked out, we took our trash out, gathered our items and left. The washing and deep cleaning is all done by a cleaning crew. Having a large gathering in my own home always leaves a giant mess to clean. Such a nice break to not have to do all the cleaning!
Lake Recreation
When we visited Book Texoma it was too cold to do lake activities. I can’t wait to go back to explore all Lake Texoma has to offer. To play in the water is a perfect summer activity in Texas!
