Parents of toddlers often worry and stress about how to entertain kids while traveling long distances on a plane, in the car or even just out to eat!
I began traveling with my kids when my oldest was only a few months old. I now have 4 kids ranging from 10 years old to 20-months-old. We’ve been on over 300 flights. Most of them, I was entertaining a baby or toddler.
By far, the most difficult travel age is about 18-months old until 3. These kids are big enough to want to be moving and independent, but small enough to not be able to do it safely. They are not easily entertained for long periods of time. Their voices can be loud. Tantrums about the craziest things abound. And their social cues, non-existent.
While traveling with kids at this age isn’t glamorous, I have found some help to get through. I’ll share with you the best collection of toddler-friendly toys that get us through those long flights and car rides.
