Where is Lake Texoma?
Lake Texoma sits on the border of Texas and Oklahoma. It is easily accessible from the DFW Metroplex or OKC. There are cabin rentals at Lake Texoma on both side of the lake.
Where to Stay at Lake Texoma?
Book Texoma homes are located all around Lake Texoma, on the border of Texas and Oklahoma. All of the Lake Texoma rental homes are a quick and easy drive from Oklahoma City or DFW area.
Some cabins at Lake Texoma are on the Texas side – a mere hour from North Dallas suburbs. Other Lake Texoma rental properties are on the Oklahoma side – still under a two-hour drive from the DFW Metroplex.
There aren’t many hotels on Lake Texoma, but you’ll find plenty of Lake Texoma Rentals.
My favorite Resorts on Lake Texoma are the large homes offered by Book Texoma. With amenities and cleanliness similar to the resorts on Lake Texoma, but the space and privacy of a rental house, this is the perfect place for your group.
The Best Part of Book Texoma Rentals, Beach Landing
We spent a long, fun weekend at a brand-new property called Beach Landing. It was just built in 2020 and is clean and modern. You will love how many people it can accommodate in beds and the eating area.
The Beach Landing Drive home is next door to Lake Depot Place. Both homes were completely in 2020 with nearly the same layout. They are new and clean, built with guest’s needs in mind. You’ll find the Lake Texoma home perfect for all your needs.
Sleeping in Large Bedrooms
We had the kids in one ‘pod’ this included 2 bedrooms. One bedroom had a queen on queen bunk bed and another queen bed (sleep 6). The other bedroom had 2 queen beds. We had 10 girls who had a party in thier rooms, staying up way too late making memories. During the day, they had a room to go to play games or have some quiet time.
There are 6 total bedrooms in the home. The Master has a king bed and an attache bathroom (with an in-bedroom TV). The other bedrooms have two queen beds. Our kids could comfortably sleep in our room without kicking us in the night.
There are extra blankets and pillows on the shelves in the room. You’ll even find an air mattress in the cupboards under the bar. There are no closets so you don’t need to worry about leaving things in the room.
Eating in the Full Kitchen and Dining Area
Unlike a hotel at Lake Texoma, Texoma Rental homes feature a full kitchen to meet your every need.
The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils, dishes, cups, pans, pots and bowls. Just bring the food and the rest is provided. Of course stove, microwave, and blender are standard in every house.
The fridge and freezer are empty and clean, ready for whatever deliciousness you want to fill it with. Load up the cooler with all your favorite foods.
Because these are remote Lake Temoxa house destinations, groceries and restaurants may be hard to come by. Not too far, but planning ahead will mean you can stay in and cook great meals. If you need some ideas for meals, we enjoyed pizza, roasted chicken, breakfast sliders, puffy pancakes, spaghetti and meatball, and deli sandwiches.
Split up meal assignments and bring up all your favorites for a weekend to remember!
With soap, spongee, wash cloths and a dishwasher, clean up was quick and easy.
Seating is plentiful along the long table and benches and 4 seats at the bar. A high chair is provided for your young kids.
Seperate from the kitchen, the bar area has cups and gadgets to meet your needs. There is plenty of counter space to create the cocktails of your dreams.
The Lake Texoma rental property has a large covered patio with seating. Here you will find a grill for your convenience. Outdoor cooking can be so easy! Just be sure to clean it thoroughly after use!
Playing in the Game Room
The rental property does provide several board and card games. We brought up a few more of our favorite board games for game nights. The giant table and benches were perfect for board games.
The game room also had a full-sized billiard table with cues. There was also a mini-billiard table, which you can flip to turn into an air hockey table. You can even add ping pong boards to create a mini-ping pong playing platform- just like this table on Amazon.
The game room also had a table and chairs for extra playing or eating space.
We loved spending the evening gathered around a crackling fire telling stories and roasting marshmallows. The huge fire pit will seat your entire party. Don’t forget the marshmallow roasting sticks!
Some firewood is provided, but you may want to bring more firewood if you plan to have a late night. Did you know you can order firewood on Amazon? You can, and it would be convenient to have it shipped straight to the property.
Tips for staying at Book Texoma Properties
Most everything you will need is provided and easily accessible at Lake Texoma Rental homes. A few items to put on your packing list:
Bring shampoo and conditioner.
Don’t forget sunscreen and bug spray in summer.
Bring a pack n play for the baby to play and sleep in.
Marshmallow roasting sticks for a delicious treat around the fire.

What to do at Lake Texoma
From beach landing, Lake Texoma is a quick and easy .15 mi walk down the road. The water is warm and inviting in the summer. The sandy beach and easy small incline access to the water (no waves!) make it the perfect play area for kids. Bring your sand toys and beach towels for lots of fun, year-round!
Can I get 100 People Together in a Rental Home?
On the other side the road from the Beach Landing house is the rental property called The Spot at Lake Texoma. The Spot includes two houses with a total of eight bedrooms and six bathrooms.
The massive garage is enclosed (or the garage doors can be opened if the weather is nice). The garage playroom contains an indoor basketball area, corn hole, ping pong, giant Jenga, croquet, and other games. The spot also provides some lake floats and toys for your summertime fun.
If you were to book The Spot, Beach Landing and Lake Depot, you could get nearly 100 people staying right next to each other. With all three properties booked at the same time, you’d have plenty of beds, bathrooms, eating areas, outdoor grills and firepits, easy lake access, and tons of games and amenities.
